Overview The original building was a closed down school near the small village magheraveely in County Fermanagh. The building was tramsformed into a stunning passivhouse dwelling, the 1st retrofit passivhouse of its kind in NI.
System Used: A krend ewi system was specified and consisted of 150mm platinum eps adhesively and mechanically fixed back to the existing masonry. The next process involved machine applying hp 14 basecoat with glass fibre reinforcing mesh. The final coat on this system was silicone tc15 in pure white. Silcone tc15 is a silicone resin render, providing high levels of water repellence and was machine applied with our new eze 24 thin coat pump.
Aesthetically, the buildings transformation is remarkable and the client will make significant savings on energy costs for years to come.
